Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of amarjibon (আমার জীবন) — a Bangladesh-based matrimony platform operated by Safe Care Services, a sole proprietorship registered in Bangladesh under trade licence TRAD/DNCC/027461/2024, registered at House 60, Road 06, Section 12, Block A, Pallabi, Mirpur, Dhaka 1216, Bangladesh. Payments in Bangladeshi Taka are processed by Safe Care Services through SSLCommerz; payments in US Dollars are processed by 772 Inc through Stripe. 1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must not be currently married (amarjibon is for unmarried individuals seeking marriage).
• You must provide truthful information at sign-up and throughout your use of the service.
• You must not be a Restricted Party under applicable sanctions laws.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You must not share your account with anyone else. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at help@amarjibon.com.

3. Acceptable Use Policy

amarjibon is a matrimony service for adults seeking marriage. To keep the community safe, the conduct below is strictly prohibited. Our full Acceptable Use Policy is published as a standalone document and is incorporated into these Terms by reference — violating it is a breach of these Terms. Breaking these rules can lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban, and we proactively report serious illegal activity to law enforcement and relevant authorities. While using amarjibon, you agree NOT to:

• Use amarjibon if you are under 18, or contact, solicit, groom, or attempt to meet anyone you know or believe to be under 18.
• Zero tolerance: create, share, request, or solicit any content that sexually exploits or endangers a minor (child sexual abuse material). Such accounts are permanently banned and reported to law enforcement.
• Post sexually explicit, pornographic, or nude content in your profile, photos, or messages.
• Threaten, promote, depict, or incite sexual violence, sexual coercion, or any non-consensual sexual activity.
• Share, or threaten to share, intimate or sexual images or private information about any person without their consent.
• Engage in, facilitate, or promote human trafficking — including trafficking for sexual exploitation — sex trafficking, sex work, escort or "companionship" services, or the commercial sexual exploitation of any person.
• Aid, abet, or encourage abuse of any kind — assisting, facilitating, or encouraging another person’s violation of these Terms, or the abuse or exploitation of any person, is itself a violation of these Terms.
• Deceive, defraud, or financially exploit other members — including romance scams, soliciting money or gifts, requesting bank, card, or OTP details, phishing, or investment or "crypto" schemes.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, or intimidate other members.
• Impersonate any other person or misrepresent your identity, age, marital status, or photos.
• Post hateful or defamatory content, or use amarjibon for any unlawful purpose or to promote illegal activity.
• Upload someone else’s NID. This is a serious offense and grounds for permanent ban.
• Use the service for commercial solicitation, marketing, or to advertise other services.
• Attempt to circumvent verification, moderation, or security mechanisms.
• Use bots, scrapers, or any automated means to access the service.
• Resell or monetize matches obtained through the service.

We enforce this policy with human moderators and automated tools. We may remove content and suspend or permanently ban accounts, and we proactively report child sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and other serious illegal activity to law enforcement as described in our Law Enforcement Guidelines. To report a member or content, use the in-app Report button or email help@amarjibon.com.

4. Verification

amarjibon offers NID verification as the foundation of trust. You agree that:

• The NID and guardian NID you submit are your own and the genuine guardian’s, respectively.
• We may review them manually and reject them if they appear forged or mismatched.
• We may contact your guardian (if you provide a phone number) to confirm consent.
• Verification is required to send unlimited interests; free-tier users have weekly limits.

5. Subscriptions, pricing, and refunds

• Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Subscription.
• Memberships are refundable for 7 days. Ask within 7 days of your first membership purchase and we refund it in full — as long as no contact reveal has been used on that membership. Once you have unlocked someone’s contact details, that purchase has been used and cannot be refunded. Renewals are not refunded once the new period has started; cancel any time to stop the next one.
• Coins are refundable while unspent. Coins already spent on a contact reveal, a boost, or any other paid feature cannot be refunded.
• Approved refunds take 7 to 10 working days. The money goes back to the payment method you used. Bank cards usually settle first; bKash, Nagad and Rocket can take a little longer to appear. Purchases made inside the iPhone or Android apps are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies. Full details are in our Refund Policy.
• Plans, benefits, limits, and prices can change. amarjibon may add, rename, remove, re-price, or change the features and limits of any membership tier at any time, at its discretion. We do this to keep the service sustainable and to keep improving it.
• We protect what you already paid for. If we reduce the benefits of a tier or change its price, members who already paid keep the benefits and the price they purchased until the end of their current billing period. The new terms apply when you renew or start a new purchase. (Some live, account-wide perks — such as free access granted as a promotion — may change immediately, since they were never purchased.)
• Pricing is geo-aware — members in Bangladesh pay in BDT and members elsewhere pay in USD. To be charged the Bangladesh price, you must pay with a Bangladesh payment method (such as bKash or Nagad) or have a verified Bangladesh phone number or National ID. We use this to keep regional pricing fair and to prevent abuse (for example, using a VPN to obtain a lower price you are not eligible for).
• Failed payments will downgrade your tier to Free until resolved.

6. Content you upload

You retain ownership of everything you upload (photos, voice notes, videos, text). By uploading, you grant amarjibon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display that content to other users for the purpose of matchmaking, and to store it on our infrastructure for as long as your account exists.

We don’t use your photos for marketing or training AI models. We don’t share your content with anyone outside the service except as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Reports, moderation, and termination

• If reported, your account may be temporarily restricted while we investigate.
• Violations of these Terms can result in warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
• For serious violations (impersonation, fake NID, harassment, criminal threats), we may ban your account immediately and without warning.
• You may delete your own account at any time via Settings → Delete account. A 30-day grace period applies before final deletion.

8. No warranties

amarjibon is provided "as is." We do our best to verify identities and keep the community safe, but we cannot guarantee that any user is who they claim to be, that any match will result in marriage, or that the service will be uninterrupted. Decisions about whom to meet and marry are entirely yours; please exercise sensible caution.

9. Liability cap

To the maximum extent permitted by Bangladeshi law, our total liability to you arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or BDT 5,000 — whichever is greater.

10. Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively by the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before going to court, we ask that you contact us in good faith first — most things can be resolved by a quick email.

11. Law Enforcement Guidelines

Our full Law Enforcement Guidelines are published as a standalone document and are incorporated into these Terms by reference. They explain how we proactively contact law enforcement entities when we become aware of child sexual exploitation or abuse, human trafficking, or imminent threats to life; how law enforcement and government agencies can request member information; and the legal standards we require before disclosing it. They are consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Child safety: we proactively report child sexual exploitation and abuse to the appropriate authorities and preserve related evidence, consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy. For any law-enforcement matter, contact legal@amarjibon.com.

12. Changes

When we make material changes to these Terms, we’ll notify you at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance. Changes to membership tiers, benefits, limits, and prices are governed by Section 5 — including our commitment to honor what current subscribers already purchased until the end of their billing period.
